Using your candle

Preparation

To get ready, you’ll want to have your vessel with the lid off and a bag of your favorite Chandlr Wax. Place your vessel on a flat surface away from any flammable materials, children, and pets. This needs to be a safe space for your candle and its feelings.

Get it Going!

#PLWL

Open your bag of Chandlr Wax and pour some into your vessel. It is OK if the wax has some clumps in it or it looks moist, this is normal for our wax. It is a good idea to have a spoon, toothpick, or other utensil handy to break up any clumps and flatten the surface and level.

Pour enough wax into the vessel so that there is at least 1-1.5” of space from the wax to the rim of the vessel. Feel free to add more space if you want the flame to sit lower in the vessel.

Grab one of the provided 2” wicks and push the wick down in the center of the wax in the vessel. You want about 1/4” of wick poking up out of the wax.

Light it and enjoy!

Removing Cooled Wax

Once your candle goes out or you distinguish it appropriately, allow the melted wax to cool completely. This usually takes 2-4 hours depending on temperature conditions in your space.

Once cooled, you can use your fingers, tongs, chopsticks, anything you’d like to pick up the cooled wax. You’ll notice that the Chandlr Wax around the cooled bit will remain or fall off into your vessel.

You can rub off the outside of the cooled wax and allow it to fall into your vessel as well - this is more Chandlr Wax you can use for your next burn.

Now, you can throw the cooled bit away or continue on to our Tips & Tricks section to learn how you can extend the life of your wax.

Refills

Refilling is basically the same way as setting up your candle for the initial burn.

Always make sure that the cooled wax (The Nug) is removed from the vessel and the remainder of the wax in the vessel.

Open the bag of your favorite Chandlr Wax and pour more wax in. Make sure that you have a utensil like a spoon or toothpick to help break down any clumps and flatten the surface.

Leave about 1-1.5” of space between the wax and the rim of the vessel.

Rewick

Once you have your Chandlr Wax set in your vessel you’r ready to add a wick!

Grab another wick we provided you and center it in the wax. Push down till there is only about 1/4” of wick sticking out of your wax.

Now, you’re good to light it up!

Leftover Wick

Our wicks are designed to burn till they are completely gone leaving you with only a cooled ball of wax (The Nug). If you distinguish your wick early and you have a visible (and safe) amount of wick left, you can remove it from the cooled wax and reinsert it into your freshly poured wax.

You can also just relight where it left off and continue the burn process.
